Job Title: Director CTC Global MerchandisingPurpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • To drive a world-class cross-channel merchandising and range management effort for BU Golf within the overall adidas brand merchandising strategy.
  • To build channel and segmentation strategies that contribute to a common brand footprint and increase a successful sell-in, sell-out, BU profitability.
  • To drive and ensure execution of our global Go-To-Market strategies through the merchandising lens, collaborating with Brand Communications and Market level Merchandising and Marketing teams.Key Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with Product Marketing to ensure the build out the seasonal BU range architecture consistent with market intelligence, trend assumptions, and analytics.
    • Drive brand footprint/brand collection selection and implementation in collaboration with creation teams and markets.
    • Drive global alignment and implementation on product concepts, ensuring a balanced perspective between brand and commercial interests.
    • Lead the global merchandising effort for the business unit, building strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders in global and market functions.
    • Formalize a transparent process on sell-in/sell-out metrics that can enable increased efficiency and profitability.
    • Review market ranges and drive optimization together with respective teams, proactively engaging and ensuring local requirements are understood.
    • Lead Concept to Consumer team responsibility, including all CTC operations, meetings, tools, content, and processes that support a successful seasonal handover and sell-in.
    • Collaborate across teams to ensure a consumer obsession through commercial input, consumer insights and touchpoints.
    • Facilitate seasonal review process on major go-to-market milestones.
    • Lead the Go-To-Market calendar planning, with support from team and in collaboration with other global functions and markets.
    • Lead projects and initiatives to improve existing tools & deliverables with the goal of enabling improved sell-in readiness for the markets.Key Relationships:

        • Proven track record in merchandising and/or marketing
        • Strong cross-functional experience across diverse functions
        • Strong sporting goods/golf industry knowledge
        • Strong networking and interpersonal skills
        • Ability to influence
        • Ability to work in a complex international environment
        • Advanced MS Office skills
        • Fluent in written and spoken English, ability to speak multiple languages is a plusRequisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
          • University degree in related field, MBA preferred
          • 8-10 years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility and a successful track record
          • 2-3 years of managerial experience
          • International experience preferred
